27th Independent Spirit Awards 2011

The nominations for the 27th Annual Independent Spirit Awards have been just announced and the movies to have got the highest nominations this year are The Artist and Take Shelter. Both the movies have been nominated in five different categories. And when it come to the biggest award of the night at Independent Spirit Awards, there is a tough competition between the Artist, Take Shelter, Drive, 50/50, the Descendants, and Beginners.

The best part about these awards is that these awards recognize the independent movies that have been made and these awards have been doing that from a long time. The awards will be handed to the winners on February 25th, juts a day before the Oscars.
