But first I need to backtrack a bit, to catch you up on what has already been done in the living room that is becoming my work space.
It's shocking to me, in retrospect, that I didn't BLOG about this room when it was put together...round one. WHY?! Well, as hard as it is for me to believe, I was only posting on this blog about once a month a year ago. How things have changed! Now I should be wearing this tank everyday, as a disclaimer to those around me.

I did, however, have to FINISH the paint job this week. When originally painting this room I stopped at the corner where the drapes start. After completing the fireplace wall, with the "wallpaper" detail that was slightly time consuming, I simply ran out of steam. I figured I'd get to it someday (a year later) and that no one would notice. Can you believe no one ever did notice? But then again, with the exception of Christmas morning, the room was virtually left unused.
Another item that is staying are the Payton Linen Cotton Drapes from Pottery Barn, which were hung soon after we moved in. The (discontinued) color works beautifully with the trim and fireplace mantel, while being neutral enough to go with anything brought into the room. I originally considered making panels for this window which spans the entire wall. Then I saw these double width Payton drapes listed as a final clearance item, and combined with a 10% off coupon (the one you get in the mail when moving into a new home...great marketing Pottery Barn) it made sense to go the easy route.
Next, I'll show the remaining items that are being reused in this space and then on to the new stuff!
