First up, a few favorite scenes from the condo decorated by Henry Brown of Bedford Brown.
Here is a shower definitely designed with the exhibitionist in mind, with a fabulously urban version of a hot tub to match out on the terrace. What a way to start...and end, your day!
Media, Grand Central. This caught both my and my husband's attention...okay, mostly his.
The contrast of the white lamp against the wall color is striking...what exactly is this red+orange color? I must find out.
By the way, the price for this unit boosting 2,482 square feet is on the market for $2,449,950. Any takers?
Then a short walk down the hall to a similar unit, designed by the talented Joelle Nesen and her team at Masion, Inc.
Take a look at these island stools, I've never seen anything like them. Have you? A limited color palette of whites and tans, with black accents, is used throughout the home. These stools fall right in line, while adding a modern twist to decorating that embraces the traditional.
The same restful colors continue in a breezy bedroom. Quirky figurine lamps and a (I want it!) bamboo Chippendale chair are the stars of this room. The simple steel bed frame continues the balance between the traditional and modern design plan.
An art covered wall uses a variety of frames and subject matter, but the result feels calm due to the same restraint of color that is applied throughout the entire home.
At $200,000 less, is this unit of identical square footage a relative bargain?
A few blocks away sits another penthouse, with its most outstanding feature being this terrace with amazing...siding! Not exactly what one goes to a home show expecting to be inspired by, but here it is. Does it remind anyone else of a sleek train?
Finally, what is a dream home tour without a dream closet...and what you might expect to find inside. Encountering this pile of boxes would certainly meet my expectations of such a dream!
