Don't get me wrong, I have an ongoing love affair with the classic beach house look. White beadboard mixed with pale blues, greens, and yellows, comfortable country furniture and linens. But another type of beach house has captured my imagination. A beach house that could be perched in the woods above the water, with lines and finishes inspired by the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright. Pale warm woods, modern furniture, and limited color palettes that allow the peaceful setting to become the star.
There is certainly something intriguing about a beach home situated in more northern locations, with the house often placed within a woods. This setting creates a special feeling that only a home nestled among the trees can have. Then add in a water view, could there be a more perfect spot for a bit of relaxation?
