Paint Choice

Sherwin-Williams 6151 Quiver Tan it is.

Thank you for all your opinions!
Now I just need to get to the paint store before I second guess
this choice...

(Quiver Tan Shown On Fireplace Wall)

While there are going to be a few dark spots created in the space, it is a color that is speaking to me. The current lighter color is doing nothing to bring out the areas best features, including the tall window. Once framed in the darker color I think it will become a dramatic focal point.

(And do you see how close my neighbor is? Luckily the only windows that look into our home are upper windows in a two story room. Believe me, when that house was being built I toured it to see exactly what my future neighbor would be able to see!)

By the way, here's a tip. If you ever need to view a room with fresh eyes take a photo and study it, I swear you'll see things you missed looking at the space in person. This photo points out to me that the light fixture is not doing the room any favors, the little piece of artwork on the left looks like a postage stamp and the Universal Khaki paint on the stairwell wall (which I painted recently to think about that color) looks too cool.

The painters couldn't fit me in until Sunday, but I'll have photos to show you on Monday! They are going to spray rather than roll on the color, so I do believe the quality of the job will exceed what I could have done. Even better, it will be finished in hours not days!

p.s. don't forget to enter the Stella & Dot Giveaway I'm hosting at Room Remix!
