Sat Nite Special brings you... window treatments!

Welcome to the 4th edition of Saturday Nite Special!

If you're new here, kick off your shoes and join in! This weekend's special highlight is window treatments alongside our anything goes theme that's always present.

Have you done anything interesting with your windows? Or just plain happy to finally get something up there already and would like to share? We would love to see! Link any window project past or present, and join in!
To marry the current theme...

By now you may have  seen my own invention of the hanger window treatment. It still makes me smile and was so super simple to fabricate!

And then there's the little barnwood shutter in my bathroom. Not desiring traditional curtains, this was the perfect addition to a rustic environment.

And another outside of the box idea for large windows. These are room dividers I simpy close...

... and open as desired. I'm debating on removing the rice paper and replacing it with burlap or ?. The neat thing about this idea is that the light still penetrates through the cover, yet still offers you privacy. It's a rather neat visual.

How about a little 'net' inspiration? I'm so in love with this picture and inspired me to do that barnwood shutter. Isn't this cool?!? Photo credit to My Sweet Savannah.

Fashion a large, square lace doily into a handkerchief valance for a romantic setting.

This isn't to say I don't also love a more traditional take. Here's Eddie Ross' patterned blind idea. It gives the illusion of drapes but the clean lines of a blind. Perfect!

And there is nothing more gorgeous than these breezy window treatments from Gail's Decorative Touch. The white inspired me to do my own hanger curtain windows in white as well. Gorgeous!

Here is The Lettered Cottage's guest bedroom. I LOVE the rustic dark stick blind against those elegant sheers!

Window treatments don't just belong inside either. Here Nester shows a small sample of what's in her mistreatment files. If you haven't already, go through Nesting Place for a wealth of inspiration. She's truely the queen of window 'mis'treatments as she tags it.

Now it's your turn! Let's see watcha got! Both window and anything goes links welcome! Just please label your window posts as such so window shoppers can find you easily.
