... someone out there in blogland who has quite a unique touch with kitchen riff raff... and I'm not talking about cups and spoons. Oh no no... push it further than that. You would never have guessed this one unless you saw it on your own screen during the Saturday Nite Special #3 Anything Goes party.
Recaptured Charm is our feature for this round!
Lisa's entry stole my heart. This is a lamp created out of a grater!
And I don't just love it because it's metal (although that would be a high reason in my funky book!) Nope. I chose this entry simply because it's my bet that nowhere on this planet earth does someone have a lamp quite like this. It's unique, productive, and totally inspired me to think WELL beyond box limitations. Well done, Lisa!
Now, I'm going to sprinkle a few questions here and there and hopefully Lisa will chime in within the comments, so make sure you select to follow them so you can view her answers.
Now, it seems as if Lisa has a thang for lamps. Here she's made one out of an old radio.
* Lisa, these lamps are the coolest! Are they difficult to fabricate?*
Hmmm... what else does this gal do? Upon a little further investigation, I gasped when I saw this vanity that was created out of an old desk. I just LOVE the top glass covering vintage added charm! This fellow Canadian is really talented here.
This little table redo is one of my very favorites! I adore the lines AND finish on this piece!
I LOVE this cafe window with the utinsel embellishments and frosted glass treatment.
And I'm also thinking... there sure is alot of great stuff on this blog. I mean, where do you put it all?!? And that's when I found THIS LINK.
This stuff is for sale, people!
See?!?!? Bah!!!
*Lisa, do you have an Etsy page? Storefront? Selling from home?*
Ohhh melt. Would you look at the crackle finish and cup pulls on this one?!? Gorgeous! I am sooo inspired to get going on some pieces for others to adopt. Great way to push your creativity.
* Lisa, do you do all these revamps yourself? I mean, there's such a variety of finishes everywhere you look. How can one gal know so much?!?*
Lisa's also pretty clever at spotting unique and wonderful things on the web.
"A couple of old brackets and some old wood, or a shutter makes an adorable shelf or window box." Now, that is a cool idea.
And then there's the waaay out there stuff that makes you laugh... (like I can't relate to that).. it's just missing a food vignette underneath. How about an upside down egg carton with a few broken eggs sprinkled to and fro?
Now this is something I'd totally do! These are painted apple crates. I think I'm in cratelove! Look at those covered book spines! Sheesh a modified version of this would make a great nightstand in my revamped chippy bedroom! (that isn't created yet but is still a pile of boneyard riff raff on my lawn)
Lisa is fairly new to blogging, only having started in May 2009. She's somewhere in Canada and is obviously selling her wares.
*Lisa, please feel free to tell us abit more about yourself and to fill us in on more particulars. Your stuff is terrific! I'm glad to have found you!
Now I also want to say, doing these features is a bittersweet experience for me. While I love to toot my horn on someone else's behalf, it's difficult to not include others that I feel are equally deserving. There is another entry I felt feature worthy for a win in the last round, so as a surprise, I'll do up another feature sometime in the near future. Please watch for it, you won't want to miss this one either!

And are you nearly ready to party again? Please join us this upcoming weekend for
#4 - Window Treatment Party!
Do you have some windows you're right proud of? We want to see them, so come on down! Window treatments don't have to mean just curtains either. If you have other embellishments that enhance a window, bring it on over!
And also please know, the theme of 'anything goes' will always be applicable to these weekend parties. Simply label your window entry as such so the window shoppers can find you easier. However, all other entries are most welcome. Always!
See you at the party!
