Daffodil Garden

Today I am posting a card I created for Heartfelt Creations.  I love daffodils and wanted to create a daffodil garden.  The products used are listed at the bottom of this post.   I stamped the standing daffodil and the daffodil flower five times with VersaMark ink on vellum paper and white embossed. The flowers were cut out with the matching die and the standing daffodils were cut out with scissors. Using watercolors, I colored the back of each design. I have discovered that when water coloring on vellum it will curl the paper to give it a realistic look to flowers. The five daffodils were attached to the flowers using a small piece of dimensional tape right below the center of the flower (it was placed under the white embossing so it wouldn’t show).

The fence was die cut and grass punched, then layered together. These were attached to the bottom of the card. The daffodils were tucked behind the fence. They were glued at the bottom of the stem and a dimensional clear glue dot placed behind some of the flowers to give dimension to them. The greeting was stamped, and die cut, then attached with dimensional tape. The corners and small butterflies completed the card.
