Today there are 33 beautiful cards created by the Heartfelt Creations Design Team on the Heartfelt Creations blog post here. You will find so much inspiration and even a video on how to create a gorgeous "Funky Fold" card. Above is one of the cards I created for this week's post.
This card contains a surprise. It is a “Pop Up” card. On the front I created two frames using a Martha Stewart Punch. The verse from Cardinal With Holly Berries was stamped and cut out with a Nestability Label One die. It was sponged with Tim Holtz Distress ink prior to taking it out of the die. It was layered onto the smaller punched frame. The center of the larger punched frame was sponged with Distress Ink as well as the outside edge of the main card. The smaller frame was attached with dimensionals in center of larger frame. One of the cardinals from the Cardinal Pine Bough set was cut off the end and trimmed around the design. It was attached with a dimensional. To give it more dimension, I stamped the matching cardinal from the Cardinal Family precut set, colored it and cut it out with matching die. It was attached with a dimensional. Pearls were added to complete the front.
On the inside, another piece of cardstock was cut 1/8 inch smaller all the way around so it would fit well inside the card. Two tabs were cut at the fold to hold the dimensional cardinal. A piece from the Basic Grey “Jovial paper pad” was attached to the top. The cardinal image was stamped and trimmed around the sides and top then attached to the two tabs. Tim Holtz Distress ink was sponged at base of the cardinal and on bottom panel. Another Nestability Label One die was attached to the bottom panel. The inside panel was attached to the top card with ScorTape.
