Well it is Thursday again and you probably know what I am going to say -- It is time for another fun challenge at Joan's Gardens. Did you see the gorgeous card Joan made for this week's challenge. You can see it here.
This week Joan's Gardens Challenge #18 is to make a card or project and use the following:
- Paper-Vertical Strip
- Die Cut Flower - If you don't have a die cut you can cut by hand
- Some kind of alteration to card stock- Diamond Glaze, cracked ice or anything to change the texture...even embossing
- A Swirl - either pearls, rhinestones, paper, or stamped
I first stamped the Posy Bouquet (HCPC 3302) and two Posy Patch Clusters (HCPC) and colored with Copic markers. I then stamped single posies from the Posy Patch Flowers and cut them out with the matching dies. After coloring the images I added DG3 Art Gel to them and shaped the petals letting them dry. In the meantime I selected two designer papers from the "Mariposa" stack. I put a decorative stitch around the green piece using my sewing machine. The pink vertical piece I just drew stitch line on. The flowers were arranged on the card then the pretty "Zva Creative" self adhesive Pearl Swirl was added. MG3 art gel was added to the center of each flower and I sprinkled on tiny black beads. Pink pearls were added to each corner to finish the card.
I hope you are joining in on Joan's challenges each week. Remember you have a chance to win a great prize in the weekly drawing but at the end of the year, if you have won during the weekly challenges, your name will be in the drawing for a $100 gift certificate from Joan's Gardens. I am sure you can think of lots of great things you could spend $100 on.
