I have been telling you about a new stamp line now available from Joan's Gardens. This is a card I made using some of the Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi stamps that you can now preorder from Joan. This is way different from my normal style but boy did I have fun with it. It is a 3-D collage using many different elements.
The background paper is from Basic Grey. All stamps used on this card are from the "Botanical Art" (LCS037) set. The "letter" background was stamped using Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. The flourish was stamped using VersaMark ink then was clear embossed. Using a combination of "tea dye", scattered straw" and antique linen" Distress inks, I sponged over the entire design making in darkest over the clear embossed design so it would show up. The butterfly was stamped using tea dye ink then sponged lightly with the same ink. The greeting was stamped using dark brown ink and cut out using scissors.
A Tim Holtz paper rosette die was made using design paper and a Making Memories "Paper Reverie" bauble was added to the center, A Tim Holtz "Elegant Flourishes" die was used for the brown flourish on the right side of the card. Two JustRite Nestabilities corners were cut out and sponged with the tea die ink. The lace across the bottom of the card is from the Webster's Pages Designer Trim. The bauble and designer button are also from the same Making Memories bauble package. The brown pearls are from Kaiser Craft.
It was fun layering all these different elements to create this card. The Studio 490 stamps all coordinate so well it makes it very easy to complete this type of card. Be sure to go over to Joan's Gardens to see all the new stamps available in this line.
Joan and I have some new things planned for you this year. The first one will be posted this afternoon then the new Joan's Garden's Thursday Challenge begins tomorrow. Hope you join in on the fun.
