Welcome to Saturday Nite Special #10!
If you're new here, kick off your shoes and join in! The theme is always a *DIY themed anything goes, so feel free to post your project, past or present that you're proud of so we can clap along with you!
Party starts at Fri night and ends Sunday 11pm, so you have all weekend to join!
I LOVE to highlight inspiring posts, so make sure you check after the party to see if your blog is in lights. I sneak in some features in my sidebar widget during the party too. :)
This weekend we have another wonderful giveaway! I KNOW you will adore this one.
I'm so pleased to introduce to you, my blog friend Missy from The Little Green Bean!
I've actually done a feature on Missy back in August 2009.
On the Extreme Home Edition set as a volunteer
At a concert with her date, Keith Urban.(lol)
Um... yeah. Do not adjust your screens but go ahead and clean up your keyboards from that coffee you just spit out. She's had a couple major brushes with fame in her past.
But that isn't what initially brought Missy to my attention. It was the fact that she was so inspired by my kitchen office, that she went and made one for herself as well and told me about it. You can read my feature on her office and her Extreme kinda day HERE.
Missy has always been extremely crafty and a total antiques fanatic. These days, she's into crafting in a BIG way with a recycling theme in mind, and has been filling up her Etsy store like crazy with the most amazing rustic recycled things ever!
If I had funds to burn, I'd buy everything in her store. It's just that right up my alley. Take a look.
She makes owls out of recycled coffee bean bags and sweaters. LOVE! I'll take 50 please.
A couple of her latest creations are this adorable coffee bean bag angel...
... and the coffee bean bag tree skirt. (I KNOW!!!!)
Or perhaps an amazing stocking made from coffee bean bags and recycled sweaters is more to your liking? (DIE DIE DIEING here. Wouldn't a mantel look heavenly with 4 that are all different?)
Oh never mind. I KNOW you'd rather have one of the many recycled coffee bean bag tote bags.
She makes other cool things too, like this recycled button snowflake ornament in different colours among many other sweet items.
You can see ALL Missy's wonderful Etsy creations by clicking HERE.
Hey, so, would you like to see what Missy sent me?!? Ok ok, you twisted my arm!
Disclaimer - this was a one shot deal. No reshoots. It is what it is.
And after my yakking, hang in there and you can see Missy's creations close up. My delay was abit too long after my natterfest. ACTION!
Hello Hollywood... are you there?!? (crickets) (I wanted the ending to have music but that'll take another 7 hours to learn.)
So did you catch what's up for grabs this round??? For the giveaway, Missy wants to give you a...
... recycled authentic coffee bean bag pillow!!!!!
Bad news. You cannot have mine.
Good news? You get to choose the one you can have!
How to enter to win the pillow:
1. Post your DIY project.
2. Visit Missy's blog HERE, and choose which pillow you'd like if you won. (on the BLOG, NOT on Etsy.. sorry, we changed the rules midstream)
3. Come back here to the comments and...
- let me know what # your DIY project was from the listing
- your pillow choice
- your email if it's not on your profile nor blog
(this way will allow you to enter as many DIY's as you wish, while keeping entries one per person)
The winner will be chosen through the comments by random draw. The first one that is chosen that offers all the #3 criteria will win the coffee bean bag pillow of her choice!
Rules to link up:
1. Please link up your intended DIY post, NOT your blog. (post, then click on title of your post, cut and paste that url)
2. Please put a link in your post that leads back to the party so others can see what's up! (scroll button on sidebar if you wish)
3. Blog name and description when you link up. ie: Funky Junk Interiors - how to make rust rustier (don't laugh.. that would be a great post and I know how too!)
*4. This party is geared for *DIY type projects we can all attempt to make ourselves. Items for sale may be linked up IF your entry is posted on your blog and in tutorial style (unless making the item is self explanatory).
Did your link up disappear? No prob! Please reread the rules and try again!
Thank-you Missy, for hosting this awesome giveaway! Please make sure to give her lots of bloggy love over yonder for her generosity too!
Good luck and happy inspiration to all!
