And as if that wasn't enough, the most amazing chippy ladder I've ever laid eyes on. I am a ladder fanatic.

An antique tool tote anyone would go crazy for loaded with clay goodness... stacks, layers, rustic, wood....

2010 appears to have been an amazing year for Sharon. In May 2010 she fired up her blog. She also joined forces with friends Karla and Susan and created Elizabeth and Co. Vintage. How fun!

  They held their first vintage tag sale in September and made out like bandits! I mean, take a look at the stunning transformations. Isn't the topper on that table the most wonderful patina?

This glaze shadows this amazing piece in all the right places.

How fun! I would have loved to wander through here.

Isn't this clever for a house number? Customers kept wanting to buy it. I would have too!

Sharon also isn't a stranger to SNS. This was one of my most favorite tutorials she posted. Ice candles with real cranberries, how gorgeous!

Oh my word... check out this outstanding piece... yup, she does vintage VERY well. I love the vintage tool boxes on top of this wonderfully chippy cabinet. Love how wide the glass doors are.

Sharon, your home is beautiful, what you've created with your friends is so cool, and your work outstanding.

 We're nearing the closure of this fun contest! And it's my total honor to show off these 5 entries that I feel emulated my style with full colour junky flair. :)

Here are the top 5 entries I fell head over heals in love with. 

In no particular order...

Sweet Nothings - BJ

Well BJ, even though you couldn't fall in love with your sign, I LOVE it. And it got you in the top 5. :)

 BJ  bid on the sign on Ebay, won it (only one that bid LOL) and it's been under her bed for 2 years. 2 YEARS. Know why? It was rusty...

I so laughed through this whole post. She really really wanted to funk her junk and in the end, just couldn't fall in love with the look, but she did keep the jar with the chains on her mantel. Go BJ! Don't you love her candle holder? Coolest idea ever.

Well, regardless of what BJ thinks, this mantel is top notch in my book. I love the play of the white enamel, black lettering and rusty trinkets, right along with a FJI trademark plant to soften things up. I think this is a very cool look!

As for the sign? It was last seen outside in the garden. Because it was ru... never mind. I can't even say it. :)

Nana Moon Shop - Danylle

My gate and old door

When I saw Danylle's desk, I got chills.  Not only did she emulate the gate and wreath combo from my bedroom, the door looked like I simply flopped down my headboard and created an instant office. This feels so much like mine it's unnerving! Maybe I have to make one. :) Familiar things such as the sewing machine drawers filled with thread looked as if I propped them in place myself.

I had also JUST been talking about white vintage doors for office toppers in my downstairs office and then this popped up. It was if what I imagined came to life. And I didn't even have to lift a finger this time. :) Very cool.

I love this office, Danylle! You did a fabulous take on what I would do.

Elizabeth & Co. - Sharon

Oh my. Sharon hit on so many similarities I really didn't even know which pictures of my own to pull up. I mean, I have the gear and those scissors and the coke crate and the ball jar, clay pots, plants, gahh!!

There was so much ME in this group it was haunting. And this only shows about 1/3 of what she had out.  I totally adore how chic her junk appears too.  Her vignette style is so similar to my own, especially at the base of the fireplace. It just feels right! Love this, Sharon!

 

Chipping with Charm - Laurel

When I saw Laurel's entry, I exclaimed, "YES! That's my wall unit!" :) And I laughed out loud at the license plate on the crate. Totally me. Happy glorious junk wherever you look. Laurel also used some pieces that are great for storage, which is something I highly gravitate towards.

I'm so LOL over her hubby and herself shopping for that wall unit.  He apparently doesn't take in decor blogs, however when he spotted my wall unit, he went shopping for some and found them on sale. "Buy them all!", shouted Laurel.  Hilarious! Loved the display and the story, Laurel. :)

The Pixie Trail - Cindy

Well now, you've got to be kidding me!

Cindy had wanted to do some crate style patio stairs, however didn't feel her landlord would appreciate the attempt, so she attacked a table instead. Isn't this wild? That route 66 is the coolest. And I've fallen in love with this little helper too. :) IN LOVE, Cindy! I hope you love your table just as much today as the day you made it.

It was so very difficult to only pick 5 of you. The reason I chose these 5 is because they had the same or nearly identical elements I have in my own home. If they felt like I did or had them, that's what sold me.

Oh I'm so glad I don't have to pick the winner! That's for Miss Mustard Seed to do. Isn't this the hardest decision ever?!?

I really enjoyed how you viewed my own individual style. You celebrated junk in a way like I haven't yet seen and I loved seeing what you came up with! So creative and inspiring!

The Vintage Bag Lady

How I loved this!  The piece is so functional, rustic and very reminiscent of my own horse gate coat hook area. I positively LOVE the natural lines of this authentic piece of wood and real deal antique door knobs. Isn't that metal grating behind the picture totally clever? I need to borrow that! :)

JunkFest

My own infatuation working with palettes

Missy knows me well. Palette wood is near and dear to my heart. And when I work with it, I attempt to leave it alone as much as possible, the way I did with my own palette TV stand. Missy took this piece, left it in it's natural state and embellished it in her own style. This piece was unique and totally rocked. While I've never made an art piece quite like this, I think you'll agree the style screamed me in every way. Cool headboard idea... :)

Crafty Chic Mommy

My own old gate

When I saw this one, I wore the biggest smile. :)  Chic Mommy built this gate from scratch, just as I did. This is a perfect illustration of how one of my extreme rustic pieces can be revamped into a more refined style. The gate also came with an awesome tutorial. Spacers were used in between the wood slats to create uniform gaps which was a really cool idea. Nicely, done CM!

I'm totally honored that all of you felt your awesome projects emulated my own. You brought your own twist to the mix in a way I couldn't. Bravo!
