None of my windows wear your typical variety of curtains.
Which leaves options WIDE open for other unique ideas instead. :)
So I paid a little visit to nature to help me reach my goal of a winter inspired valance.
I collected like minded tones and elements for a natural rustic look.
The pennant is a chunk of burlap, black construction paper, music sheet, and house number tied together with raffia on the top.
I had this rug beater that got hit with a little bit of greens, raffia and an old rusty bell.
I like to shop my own home for Christmas decor and plan to do that with everything I touch again this season. The look is natural and the price is always right. Many more thrifty creative ideas will be coming soon!
The shopping malls will not like me this year.
Hang a string, and clip on your treasures with clothes pins.
Prefer fresh greens over faux but worry about them looking their best?
This is pretty easy to swap out.
That brown thing to the left is a small portion of a twig garland I created for FOLK magazine.
(you should get yours in the mail soon!)
I think I'm gonna deem this my pennant banner bunting garland window valance. I think I've covered them all that way. :)
I'm ready... let it snow!
I'll be linking this one up to SNS this weekend for the theme pennants, banners, buntings.
See you tomorrow with yours!
