Today I am using two more Cheery Lynn dies from Joan's Gardens. The flower is created with the "Sweet William" (D137) die. The frame and green stem is from one die, the "Japanese Lace and Flourish Frame" (DL137). This is a 5.5" square card. A piece of white card stock was embossed with the Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" embossing folder then the Japanese Lace frame attached over it. Both the flower and stem were cut out of white card stock and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Seven flowers were die cut and layered then attached with a brad. I had a scrap piece of design paper that was mostly blue. I like the strips in the paper so sponged some purple Distress Ink over it and it turned out just the color I wanted to match the flower. The flower has both blue and purple sponged on it.
Joan sent me a spool of ivory seam binding. I cut a piece long enough to make four loops on each side. It was placed in my glitter tray and it was sprayed with both blue and purple Distress Inks so it would match my flower. I dried it with the heat gun. The bow was tied then a Tim Holtz button was attached in the center. A stick pin was pushed in behind the button. A few small purple Dew Drops were added in the corner to complete the card.
All products used on this card can be purchased from Joan's Gardens.
